by Ariel C. Emberton, staff writer/photographer, Office of University Communications

Campbellsville, KY (12/03/2020) — Campbellsville University's administration has established a new scholarship, the Campbellsville University Minority Student Leadership Award.

According to Benji Kelly, vice president for development, funds for the endowed scholarship, established earlier this year, come from donations made by Campbellsville University alumni and friends.

Kelly said the scholarship was established to ensure minority students with outstanding leadership skills would be able to attend Campbellsville University.

"Recipients will be outstanding minority students entering as freshmen who show promise as student leaders including academic achievement and church involvement," he said.

For the time being, the scholarship is awarded to one individual until more funds are built up to support multiple students. The scholarship lasts for one year but can be renewed annually.

For information on how to donate, contact Kelly in at (270) 789-5211 or development@campbellsville.edu.

Campbellsville University is a widely acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university with more than 13,500 students offering over 100 programs of study including Ph.D., master, baccalaureate, associate, pre-professional and certification programs. The website for complete information is www.campbellsville.edu.
