Campbellsville University's campus minister to give Aug. 31 chapel address

Campbellsville, KY (08/25/2022) — Trent Creason, campus minister at Campbellsville University, will speak at the university's weekly chapel service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky.

Creason has served as campus minister since August 2021. Prior to being named campus minister, Creason had served as director of student activities at Campbellsville University.

He has served in various capacities on multiple committees that have led him to additional Christ-related positions including chapel coordinator for Kentucky Christian Academy and part-time at Campbellsville Baptist Church Youth and College Ministries. He has served as the associate pastor at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church in Campbellsville since 2010.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministries in 2008 from Campbellsville University. He earned his Master of Arts in Discipleship and Family Ministry in 2011 from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a 2004 graduate of Taylor County High School.

In 2008, Creason received the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award. Creason has also received the Campbellsville University Servant Leadership Award, Mr. Campbellsville, Alpha Chi, Rotary Club Award, Outstanding Senior and Who's Who Among American Students and Pastoral Ministries Award, all while a student.

He was valedictorian and graduated summa cum laude.

He is married to Sarah Borders Creason, and they have three children, Nehemiah, Evelynn and Levi.

Creason's mother, Rita, is registrar and instructor in psychology at Campbellsville University. His father, Larry, is a former assistant professor of criminal justice and archery coach at Campbellsville University.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.
