Campbellsville University's chapel series begins with Spears Sept. 1

Campbellsville, KY (08/19/2021) — Dr. H. Keith Spears, interim president for Campbellsville University, will be the first speaker for the university's chapel series at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 in Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

Spears, a native of Fort Gay, W.Va., came to Campbellsville University as the vice president of regional and graduate education in 2009. He recently spoke at the Campbellsville/Taylor County Chamber of Commerce.

This fall's theme is "Face to Face" with the scripture "For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known." - 1 Corinthians 13:12 ESV.

Other speakers who have been confirmed this fall include the following:

Sept. 8 - Labor Day, Larry Recla, ARC chaplain; Sept. 13 - Missions Weeks, Josh Huisman; Sept. 22 - Stan Meador, missionary, via Zoom; Sept. 29 - Athletics, Jeff and Stacey Sheppard;

Oct. 6 - Heritage Day, Sen. Vernie McGaha; Oct. 13 - speaker to be confirmed; Oct. 20 - International Week; Oct. 27 - Dr. Dwayne Norman, pastor, Campbellsville Baptist Church;

Nov. 3 - Jonathan and Emily Martin; Nov. 10, Veterans Day, Dr. Joseph Budd, assistant professor of criminal justice at Campbellsville University; Nov. 17 - Thanksgiving, program to be confirmed; and Dec. 1 - Christmas - Tapestry. All chapels are at 10 a.m.
