Campbellsville University to host three rounds of New Student Orientation throughout the summer
Campbellsville, KY (05/02/2023) — Campbellsville University will host three rounds of New Student Orientation for incoming first-year students throughout the summer.
The three rounds of New Student Orientation are Thursday, May 18 and Friday, May 19; Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2; and Sunday, July 9 and Monday, July 10.
Check-in for each round of New Student Orientation is from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Eastern, in front of Montgomery Library, 116 University Drive, Campbellsville.
New Student Orientation is a two-night, overnight experience where incoming first-year students can meet with their First Year Success Coach, schedule classes and participate in other campus activities that will prepare them for the beginning of the fall semester.
According to Elijah Coffey, director of residence life at Campbellsville University, New Student Orientation is meant to give incoming students a head start on their college careers and make valuable connections early on.
"Students are going to experience the exciting 'new-ness' of college while making sure they have resources and assistance needed to navigate their next stages," Coffey said. "Our only advice: Participate. Get plugged in. Step out of your comfort zone and be willing to meet new people!"
Incoming first-year students attending New Student Orientation should have their enrollment packet and housing application completed and ensure they've accepted all financial aid awards.
Also, any incoming first-year student who has previously taken the ACT, SAT, COMPASS, KYOTE, or Accuplacer tests must send their scores to the Enrollment Office before attending their priority registration event. Scores can be emailed to admissions@campbellsville.edu or mailed to the following address: Campbellsville University, Attn: Enrollment Office, 1 University Drive UPO 782, Campbellsville, KY 42718.
Though incoming first-year students can attend orientation by themselves, it's recommended they bring one guest with them, preferably a parent or guardian.

"Overall, the New Student Orientation Program is an excellent way for new students to get a head start on their college career and make valuable connections early on," Coffey said. "By participating in this program, students can gain the skills, knowledge, and connections they need to succeed in college and beyond."
Incoming first-year students may contact their enrollment counselor with additional questions or contact the Office of Enrollment by phone at (270) 789-5220 or by email at admissions@campbellsville.edu.
