Campbellsville University to present 'The Human Condition' April 20-22

Campbellsville, KY (04/14/2023) — Campbellsville University's Department of Theatre and Dance will present "The Human Condition" Thursday, April 20; Friday, April 21; and Saturday, April 22 in the Russ Mobley Theatre, 114 University Drive, Campbellsville.

Showtimes each day are 7 p.m.

The Human Condition is a dance concert conceived by Kristin Dowdy, assistant professor of theatre, and choreographed in collaboration with Campbellsville University students and Campbellsville community members.

A synopsis reads: "The dances explore aspects of humanity by considering community, relationships, experiences, emotions, and more. We hope audiences leave entertained, self-reflective, inspired, and reflective about tribulations and joys felt that come from living the human experience."

In alphabetical order, the performers are Natalia Acosta of Campbellsville, Ky.; Whitney Bowden, senior from McKee, Ky.; Jon Carey, freshman from Bowling Green, Ky.; Linda Ccori, senior from Lima, Peru.; Jaren Childers, senior from Cecilia, Ky.;

Kennedy Daughtry, freshman from Portland, Tenn.; Priscilla Edwards, freshman from Nigeria; Juno Faas, sophomore from Springfield, Ky.; Nicholas Hardin, freshman from Hodgenville, Ky.;

Sydney Harlan, freshman from Mt. Washington, Ky. and Ellie Harned, sophomore from Louisville, Ky.; Reagan Hash, freshman from Versailles, Ky.; Gavin Johnson, senior from Campbellsville, Ky.; Timmia King, freshman from Louisville, Ky.;

Seoyoung Lee, senior from South Korea.; Briana Mardis, junior from Campbellsville, Ky.; Anna Grace Peterson of Campbellsville, Ky.; LaShawna Polite, senior from McDonough, Ga.; Gina Popplewell, freshman from Russell Springs, Ky.;

Carynne Ritter, sophomore from Campbellsville, Ky.; and Isaac Rogers, sophomore from Campbellsville, Ky.; Rachana Singh, freshman from Nepal; Danielle Spurlock, freshman from Oneida, Ky.; Honami Takano, freshman from Tokyo; Gabe Taylor, senior from Fisherville, Ky.;

Kaleb Trent, graduate student from Campbellsville, Ky.; Jasmine Verrett, graduatr student from Elizabethtown, Ky.; Emily Whitehurst, sophomore from Liberty, Ky.; Elli Wilson of Campbellsville, Ky.; Kazuki Furuya, senior from Japan; and Noa Mikami, sophomore from Japan.

Designers, choreographers and crew are Dowdy, as artistic director, choreographer, lighting designer and costume designer; Bowden as choreographer and dancer; Polite as choreographer and dancer;

Peterson as choreographer, lighting designer, costume designer and dancer; Channing Young, junior from Lebanon, Ky., as stage manager and sound board operator; sophomore Savanna Sharp, sophomore from Liberty, Ky., as lighting designer and light board operator;

Sydney Harlan as costume designer and dancer; and Nathaniel Clifford, senior from Campbellsville, Ky., as lighting designer.

Corporate sponsors are Community Trust Bank, Ken Keltner: State Farm Insurance and Tucker Family Medicine.

General admission is $12. Admission for children under 12 and seniors 65 and over is $8. Cost of admission for Campbellsville University employees is $8. Current Campbellsville University students can attend for free with their student ID and receive chapel credit.

Tickets are available at https://townhallpro2013.ticketleap.com/machinal/. Online ticket sales will end at noon the day of the production. Afterward, tickets can be reserved by calling (270) 283-0566 or purchased at the door while supplies last.
