Dr. Jennifer Lanham receives promotion at Campbellsville University
Campbellsville, KY (03/26/2021) — Dr. Jennifer Lanham has received tenure at CampbellsvilleUniversity.
Lanham, an assistant professor of social work, has been employed since 2013 at Campbellsville University.
Campbellsville University's faculty receive tenure from the university's tenure and promotions committee and academic committee of the university's Board of Trustees.
Lanham is a 1984 graduate of Marion County High School in Lebanon, Ky. She attended the University of Kentucky and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 in Psychology with a Family Studies minor. Her Master of Social Work was received from UK in 1995.
Lanham received her Ph.D. from the University of Denver in 2009. Her dissertation was "Impact of Globalization on Central Appalachia Women: Social Capital and Networks."
Lanham is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky, Colorado and Illinois. She is a Certified Batterer's Intervention Provider and a Certified DUI Assessor and Provider, both in Kentucky.
Lanham has been director of operations and clinical therapist with Lanham Counseling and Therapy in Lebanon and Lexington. She has served as director of state certified Domestic Violence Offender Program and state licensed AODE Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse and DUI Program.
She has provide outpatient individual and group services for adults, adolescents and children specializing in mood, anxiety and personality disorders. She is a facilitator for domestic violence offenders and outpatient substance abuse and DUI groups and other groups.
She was the nonprofit executive director and founder of the Friends of Second Chances Canine program in Lebanon and was mental health and suicide prevention coordinator at Marion Adjustment Center in St. Mary, Ky. and has worked in social work in other cities in Kentucky and out of state.
She served as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver as well as a graduate teaching assistant. At Frontrange Community College in Colorado, she was an instructor in sociology. She was a research assistant, graduate research assistant and graduate teaching assistant at the University of Kentucky.
She has written several papers and given several presentations.
