McGinnis, Campbellsville University's director of admissions and outreach, receives Ph.D.

Campbellsville, KY (07/27/2023) — Dr. Sierra McGinnis has earned her Ph.D. in Education Leadership.

McGinnis, who serves as Campbellsville University's director of admissions and outreach, earned her Ph.D. from the University of the Cumberlands in May.

Her dissertation was titled, "Leadership Styles and Competencies of Kentucky School Principals: Transformational, Transactional, and Laissez-Faire Leadership."

McGinnis is also a two-time graduate of Campbellsville University, earning her bachelor's degree in political science in December 2015 and her graduate degree in justice studies with an emphasis in Public Service Leadership and Social Justice in May 2019.

"We are proud of Sierra and celebrate this amazing accomplishment by one of our best and brightest leaders here at CU," Dr. Jason L. Meriwether, the university's vice president for Enrollment Management, said.

As director of admissions and outreach, McGinnis oversees the university's undergraduate recruitment efforts for the Campbellsville campus and the university's regional centers.
