Shim receives promotion at Campbellsville University

Campbellsville, KY (12/03/2020) — Dr. Kunsoo Shim has been promoted to associate professor of sport management at Campbellsville University in action approved recently by the Campbellsville University Board of Trustees.

Shim has been employed since 2015 at Campbellsville University, serving as an assistant professor of sport management.

Campbellsville University's faculty receive promotion from recommendations by the university's tenure and promotion committee and Administrative Council.

Shim is a 1998 graduate of PYung Sang High School. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 with his master's degree. In 2014, Shim was in a doctoral program at Texas A&M receiving his doctoral level degree.

Shim served as a teaching assistant at Texas A&M University from 2010 to 2013. He was an instructor at Texas A&M University in 2014. He received a travel grant for research from Texas A&M in 2011 through 2013.

He has served as a member of the North American Society for Sport Management, North American Society for the Sociology of Sport and the College Sports Research Institute.

Shim is the husband of Inhye Kim, they have a daughter, Anna Jooah Shim.
