South Campbellsville Baptist Church's Gleaves and Torbert to speak at Campbellsville University's Feb. 3 chapel service

Campbellsville, KY (01/27/2021) — Dr. Ron Gleaves, administrator at Somerset Christian Schools and teaching pastor at South Campbellsville Baptist Church, and Cole Torbert, mental health therapist at Bluegrass Professional Counseling and worship pastor at South Campbellsville Baptist Church, will speak at Campbellsville University's Feb. 3 chapel service at 10 a.m.

In January, Gleaves began working as an administrator in the Somerset Christian School. He has worked as the teaching and education pastor at South Campbellsville Baptist Church since 2017.

From December 2016 to April 2019, Gleaves served as an adjunct professor of religion at Bethel University. He served as the Bible instructor and varsity girls basketball coach at Zion Christian Academy from 2011 to 2016. Gleaves also worked as senior pastor of Northside Baptist Church from 2011 to 2015.

Gleaves is a 1983 graduate of Lighthouse Christian School. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Mid-Continent Baptist Bible College in 1997. He is a 2014 graduate of Campbellsville University where he obtained his Master of Theology in Pastoral Leadership.

In 2020 he received his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Christian Leadership from Liberty University.

He is married to Sheila Gleaves, and they have three children: Kara, Emily and Joshua.

Torbert is part of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists.

He is a 2008 graduate of Mexico City Christian Academy. He received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2012 and his Master of Science in Counseling in 2014 from Campbellsville University.

Torbert and his wife, Hannah Nunn, live in Campbellsville.
