CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Gospel singer and songwriter Scotty Inman is speaking and performing at Campbellsville University during the chapel service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky.

Inman grew up as an athlete and was offered countless baseball scholarships from colleges. During his senior year of high school, however, the direction of his life changed. He attended a youth camp and found his passion to sing.

He began his music career in 2001 with the group Poet Voices. Once the group retired, he joined Triumphant and sings the baritone vocals. He won Baritone of the Year in 2021.

His talents also won him the Horizon Favorite Newcomer Award and the BMI Songwriter Award four times, and he was voted Young Artist of the Year in 2007.

For over 20 years, he has toured every corner of the world.

According to his personal website, his lyrics are inspired by faith and family. Spreading the message of Christ and bringing hope to people, is what makes his music meaningful.

Inman lives in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., with his wife, Kasey, and their daughter, Embry.

The public is invited to chapel.

Chapels are televised on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 15), streamed on Campbellsville University's Facebook page and can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS22RpJyDmc&list=PLA4XbLolySSd7ntgt9WpXIGTjPtH2dOrB.
