WLCU-TV/FM's newest TV show airs on Friday nights

by Amber Meade, communications operations manager, Office of University Communications

Campbellsville, KY (07/15/2020) — CommUnity Rewind, WLCU's newest TV show, airs live every Friday night.

The show airs at 7 p.m. on Comcast cable channel 10, digital channel 15, Campbellsville University on Facebook and WLCU's YouTube channel. Previous shows can be viewed on YouTube as well.

The show features host, Alex Meade, television programming and production director for WLCU, talking to members of the Campbellsville University community about how COVID-19 is affecting their personal and work lives.

Since the university has moved mostly to a work-from-home operation, the TV station devised a plan to get interviews in a way that complied with health officials.

Their idea was to use Microsoft Teams to get the people into Meade's home, where he would use software to record their interviews and then edit them together afterward.

"It's definitely been a learning experience doing everything virtually, but overall I'm pleased with how it is going," Meade said.

The next episode airing July 17 will include interviews with Josh Christian, Campbellsville University alumnus; Stan Meador, International Mission Board Missionary-in-Residence at CU; Michelle Eastham, limited medical radiography director, and Brent Vernon, head basketball coach.

The first episode of CommUnity Rewind aired May 29 on WLCU-TV Comcast cable channel 10, digital channel 15, WLCUTV.com, WLCU Campbellsville and Campbellsville University on Facebook and is now logged on WLCU's YouTube channel, which can be accessed here: https://bit.ly/2Ca5Ago.

"I am very excited for the upcoming episodes of CommUnity Rewind because we will get to see into the lives of the Campbellsville University family that we wouldn't normally get to see," Meade said.

"Tune in at 7 o'clock on Friday nights for another installment of CommUnity Rewind!" he said.
